BASMATI” has a long, tapered grain, naturally scented thanks to the particular environment and climate of the North of India, where it is cultivated. Riso Gallo selected the best variety, “Taraori“, exclusively from the regions of Punjab and Haryana, at the feet of Himalaya.


In the Hindi language, Basmati means “Queen of fragrance” and gets better with age. This is the reason why it is produced in small quantities per hectare and maturated for one year, guaranteeing the typical sandalwood aroma and a unique consistency. The Basmati rice is perfect as side dish but also to prepare the traditional Chinese “Cantonese Rice”.
